Animal Licensing Wales wins the Innovator in Animal Welfare Award in this year's RSPCA PawPrints Awards
Earlier this month, the Animal Licensing Wales team were
proud to learn that they had been awarded the Innovator in Animal Welfare
Award in this year's prestigious RSPCA PawPrints Awards.
A spokesman for the RSPCA commented that the award had been
granted "for the fantastic work Animal Licensing Wales is doing."
He went on to explain that "The panel was particularly
impressed with Animal Licensing Wales pro-actively identifying and driving
forward the opportunities from existing legislation to further improve animal
welfare. Animal Licensing Wales is clearly an innovative and successful model.
The panel noted Animal Licensing Wales' achievements since its establishment in
terms of providing consistency in conditions, inspections and enforcement and
felt that the work that Animal Licensing Wales is doing is new and unique,
which is also genuinely improving animal welfare. As a result, the
panel decided to award Animal Licensing Wales the Innovator in Animal
Welfare Award. The award is genuinely very well deserved and I hope
that you and the team are bursting with pride!"
